Is Tweeting Videos Good For Your Company

Pictures is a great way to get your audiences' attention, videos can grab even more attention. Short videos are better than longer ones. But what about a 6 second video. Well Twitter's CEO, Dick Costolo, tweeted a video. That's really cool. Mashable showed the tweet Dick Costolo shared on Wednesday morning. You can read about it and see the video here. The app that's allowing Twitter users to share videos is called Vine.    Joanna Stern wrote an article about the new Twitter app and this is what she had to say..........

They say a photo is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a lot more. By that math, six seconds of video should be worth a whole lot more than 140 characters of text or a Tweet. And that seems to be the point of Vine, an app launched by Twitter today that allows you to add short video clips to your tweets.
The app, which as of now is  available only for the iPhone, is really simple to use and works a lot like Instagram. (Many have been calling it the Instagramof video.) Sign in with your Twitter account or via email, hit the video camera button and press down on the viewfinder to record video. Release your finger and the recording stops, so you can easily move to record something else, but you only have six seconds of space (or tape). Watch your video and then share it with others on the service. There are options to then share it on Twitter and Facebook too. You can read more about the Twitter App Vine here

This is really cool and I believe tweeting videos on Twitter will be a big thing for all of us, especially companies. Short videos will capture more attention than a regular tweet. The attention span of most is short anyway, right? Online advertising has become more popular than commercials and billboards and it will continue to grow at a fast rate. I think businesses will get millions to share videos through this app faster than sharing them any other way. What do you think?

Blog Writing Is A Piece Of Cake

Blog Writing Is Really A Piece Of Cake
What thoughts cross your mind when you think about blog writing? Most people will tell you it can be difficult. I will be one of the few to tell you that blog writing doesn't have to be hard at all. Really blog writing is a piece of cake when you consider how easy it is to create content. Many of you were taught to write great content and write longer blog post. While this is true, it doesn't mean blog writing has to be hard. Content curation is one of the popular methods bloggers use to create content for their blogs easily and in a fraction of the time it used to take to write a blog post from scratch. This method allows the blogger to still provide their followers/readers with high quality content in just a few minutes.

Even if you don't always use content curation, you can still create a blog post about anything you wish quickly and easy. Don't believe it's possible? Check out what the folks at the highly popular SEOmoz have to say about blog writing......

In order to create a successful blog, you have to be passionately curious about the topic you're covering.
This notion was the central point of my Mozinar on "Blogging Like You Mean It" a few weeks ago, when I shared my personal story of blogging success. Here's a concise recap of the story, for those who missed it: I was once tasked with creating a blog on a topic I was completely uninterested in: television. At that time, there wasn't a TV in my home and I had absolutely no interest in television.

In order to run the blog, I knew I had to find a way to approach the topic that would be interesting enough to make blogging feel less like work and more like fun. (That's the real trick to successful blogging, by the way: writing about things you are completely and naturally passionate about.) For this project, I was able to come up with a question that fully piqued my interest in the topic: "How has television impacted the history of our culture, and how will it continue to do so in the future?"

With that one question, I was able to get interested in the topic, and eventually the blog started ranking in the top search results for some extremely competitive terms related to TV. Within a matter of weeks, we were writing articles that captivated people from around the globe and were even featured prominently on sites like The Guardian, AdWeek, New York Magazine, BuzzFeed, About.com, and Design Work Life. Today, the blog has been taken over by a remarkable, dedicated team at CableTV.com.

Then he goes to say...........

It all starts with questions

First off, any uninteresting topic can be made interesting by asking questions.

Questions work remarkably well for two reasons: primarily, they give us clear purpose and direction in our efforts. When we're asking questions and actively pursuing the answers, our work suddenly becomes an opportunity to learn and grow, not just to get links or fill up pages on the web.

Secondly, we, as bloggers, should focus on asking (and pursuing the answers of) questions because there is bound to be an audience for the content created around those questions; people who are looking for the same answers. See more from SEOmoz here

I like how he says an uninteresting topic can be made interesting by asking questions. This is great because the answers will help you successfully and constantly write for your blog. Being passionately curious will help you to put together a good post that will draw attention every time and jump start a great discussion.

There's No Mystery to Traffic Generation

When it comes to traffic generation most people think they know all there is to know. But there's more to traffic generation than just picking the right keywords.

Check out this cleaver way LA Times ranked number one on Google for a recent event. Vanessa Fox talks about it in this recent article on Search Engine Land......

One trend I watch is that of searchers asking what time things start. For any event, you can be sure that searchers will take to Google to find out the start time. I chronicle this every year, for instance, with the Super Bowl. Every year, we search for the start time, and every year, the sites that should have the data either don’t have it all, or have headlines like “countdown clock” until this year when the NFL  built exactly the right page (and I was so happy!).

Yesterday, I was similarly happy when I saw this headline from the LA Times. It’s descriptive and succinct.  It may be based on what people are searching for, but it’s using that information to better understand the audience and meet reader needs. See more from Vanessa Fox on Search Engine Land Here

LA Times really did a good job by being descriptive at the same time bringing valuable information to their readers.

Should You Promote Get Paid To Sites? Learn The Truth

Get paid to sites, they all promise you big cash, they tell you the cash is free, they say get paid to read emails and sign up for offers, and the list goes on. While these things may be true, there are some things you need to know about get paid to sites. First of all don't believe all of the hype. Users of these sites get suckered in all of the time. How do I know, because I was one of them. They sell you this lie to get you to sign up so that the marketers and the site owners benefit. Now I'm not saying money can't be made because it can, but you will have to mostly buy something in order for you to get paid.

                                        Source Imgur

When get paid to sites (GPT) advertise on the web, they sell the lie of making money while you sleep, and most of the time they never tell you everything on how you really make money. However some will tell you that you get paid when the advertisers pay them. So what if they don't pay you? You just work for nothing. In my opinion it isn't real work. Most of the time its a waste of time.

I did a review on this (GPT) site called CashCrate and I tell my exact experience of using the site because I believe people need to know the truth about CashCrate and other (GPT) sites. I made money in a few days of signing up and got a check, but most of my pay came from offers and trials. I did the trail pay, where you try it out, provide your credit card information and stay for a certain length of time then you get paid the set amount, while they still got your card information. Some offers even tell you they don't except prepaid cards, I know this because I tried using a prepaid card. Then if you don't cancel the trail, your card will get charged.

Most of the things on that site and others like it such as Swagbucks, ZoomBucks, and Inbox Dollars want you to make a purchase in order to make money. I am a member of these sites, but I haven't been on them for awhile because there is only so much "free" stuff and trail pays you can do until you run out. I certainly don't want to have to buy things and services I don't want or need just to make a few bucks.

You really aren't making anything, it's more like you're saving money, but then again can you really call it that if you don't need what they are offering? Really think about that for a moment.

Also think about this, get paid to sites want you to submit you email and spend too much time saying yes and no to other offers or 3rd party offers. They are all offering the same offers and getting paid lots more than what they are paying you to sign for these offers.

Its way too many make money programs out there that are advertising make money doing such and such and most of them don't deliver, and this includes multi-level marketing (MLM) and pyramid schemes. I've tried a whole lot of get paid to stuff and make money programs and didn't make nothing, and most of the time I didn't hit their little thresh hole to get paid.

Now about the affiliate programs. Should you promote get paid to sites or become an affiliate for them? That depends on how you feel about these programs. But to tell you the truth the only way you'll have a chance to make lots of money with get paid to sites is to promote it, and that's only if the sign ups are active. But this can be a bit of a problem if you don't tell the truth about the get paid to sites.

Here's why.....

How do you plan on advertising the get paid to sites? You got to have some way of doing so. Most of all the get paid to sites have banners and ads they offer their affiliates. But I wouldn't suggest it because they are mostly lying on those banners just like they are lying on their ads.

If you decide to promote these sites it's best to use the site and see for yourself how it works and give your own opinion on using the program. You should help others rather than trying to sign up and earn a buck. That's exactly what I did when I wrote my review on CashCrate. I gave them the bad before I gave them the little good the site happens to offer.

When you sign up for offers all of them will spam your emails with their own ads, tell you you're approved for a loan or a credit card, and offer you other crappy things. That is why you should share your experience and then decide if promoting get paid to sites is for you. I decided not to promote anything else except for the review I wrote on CashCrate. I give people the option of signing up, but I make sure they know exactly what they are getting themselves into. I even show the proof I made money, but to be honest that's all I've made since the time I signed up in November of 2012. So that right there will tell you how hard you have to focus to make anything from these types of sites.

Swagbucks and the others are the same way, you earn a little and that's it, It becomes harder to earn after awhile. Then their partners' sites can slow your computer down and will send you stuff from their own partners. In actuality get paid to sites are nothing more than pyramid schemes. Then the paid surveys are bogus because most of them you'll never qualify for. You find that out after wasting 5 or 10 minutes on each survey.

Now lets not forget about the "free" offers. Most of these type of offers want you to sign up to receive their newsletters, jokes, quotes, coupons, or other offers their third party is offering. So free is not really free, it's mostly things you just do to get paid a few cents and in return you get a bunch of emails until you decide to unsubscribe. These emails are pre-selling emails to get you to buy something most of the time.

These programs are in operation in hopes of making money for themselves and everyday people make them and their sponsors rich. In most cases everyday users will never get rich unless once again you can get a but load of sign ups by promoting. But then again you may not want to associate yourself with get paid to sites because it involves too much and in some cases it can cause others to waste their time and bog their computer down (better have a good antivirus while using these sites).

Get paid to sites want you to believe that you need things they offer by offering you kibbles and bits and getting you to spend money you otherwise would have never spent or even saved in the long run.

So promoting and joining these sites is up to you. You be the judge. I know I will not join another get paid to site ever again because they are all the same. Its like your car repair place; you take your car get it fixed, they mess up something else without your knowledge and you take your car back to the same place to get the "new"problem fixed. You're wasting time and money in both cases.

What Do Customers Think Of PLR (Private Label Rights) eBooks

You've heard many things about using private label rights (PLR). Most of what you heard was from other bloggers, article writers, and product creators. But what do your customers think of you using PLR products?

I went to amazon and did a search of the customer reviews and this is what I found:

This is a snapshot of the book called "Raw Food Diet Guide: All You Wanted To Know About The Raw Food Diet"

As you can see the customer said "don't waste your money......." here's the link ---> Review

Then he goes to say......

"This "ebook is a waste of time and paper that it is printed on.... nothing new to learn just some PLR drivel someone tried to pass off as "quality" work..."

Now this is the screenshot showing where Amazon took the book down:

Here is another one snapshot:

See how the customer said "more recycled junk".

See the link----> Review

Make sure you click on the link to the left where it says review details and you will see the book is not available for sale on Amazon.

Then take a look at this: All My Amazon eBooks Have Been Taken Off The Shelf!

This person said that all of their books were removed from Amazon and he was just giving the Warriors a heads up if they were using PLR products.

So if a well known website like Amazon is eliminating private label rights (PLR) products from their site, why would you use them on your site without adding quality to the content and changing it. Most of the content that is in PLR is a bunch of crap.

You would have to sort through the information and just use it to get ideas. Never, ever, use PLR as is and never try to sell PLR eBooks on Amazon. Some people give them away to get subscribers, but that pretty much the best way to use PLR products.

I don't care what you heard about how PLR products can make you money if you sell them on the kindle, you can't. The only way you will get away with selling PLR material is if you are a darn good writer who knows how to do proper research and find up-to-date info to add to what you use from PLR books.

What is more important is what the customers have to say about PLR and some of them can spot it a mile away. I'm not saying private label rights products is all bad because you can get good ideas and create great content.

But you should never use the product as is. If you do use these types of products stay away from ALL private label rights articles because they are mostly poorly written. Also if you use PLR, just get ideas for your blog post. You don't want to lose readers because you are too lazy to write your own content.

There are many things you can do to create content. There's content curation, which is a good process for sharing the content of others on your site or blog. Also doing a simple web search to see if you can find anything news related to what you want to post.

I've used PLR products before and it has helped me to get ideas for articles topics, but I've never left it as it. It is always good to add your own thoughts and original content to all of your blog post, books you create, and articles you write. Most importantly do research before you even type or write the content.

PLR products are a gift and a curse because there's both good and bad involved. Fresh, original  and high quality content will always remain king. And if you want your site to be an authority, make sure you provide your readers with good quality content.

Always remember duplicate content will get your site banned from Google and all the other search engines. Many people are using the same exact PLR content you are using, so you need to be set apart and different from those who use private label rights content and don't change it. Most people just slap the content on their blog and leave it as is.

Don't believe me, just take some of the content and copy and past it in the Google search engine. Put the copied sentence in "parenthesis" and you will see a bunch of stuff pop up signalling the duplicate content.

Look at this example: "Sience it's already a widespread business, you'll" Copy and paste this into Google and this is what you get:

These people didn't even have the decency to check the spelling of what they copied. It also shows the quality of the PLR content which is not very good. Then look at how many results came up, over 10,000. This goes to show you that many people are using the same content as you, and they are literally not changing the content. It also discredits your name. This is what you want to be set apart from.

People even complain and wonder why they are losing readers and why they are not making sales. If you are doing what these people in the photo above did, you'll never make money and will have absolutely no readers.

Just be careful if you just happen to decide to use PLR products. Also if you use the products make sure it is very high quality private label rights eBook,  not the articles, and just use them to get some ideas. There is very little high quality PLR out there and you will have to search hard to find it. As I said before it is a gift and a curse.

If you are having a hard time, just hire someone to write the post for you or to create booklets and reports to giveaway to your readers and subscribers. Focus on building credibility and authority for your business.

The Traffic Is In The List Too!!!!!

You've heard many times that the money is in the list. But you know what, the traffic is in the list too! Email marketing is an old and powerful form of marketing and has stood the test of time to this date. Not only is it most marketers' ATM machine, but it is also a marketers' traffic generator. List can be built by creating a simple eBook or e-newsletter where readers can subscribe to you easily. Don't forget you can use a simple, compelling squeeze page, which is also powerful marketing.

Email marketing is still a fantastic way to promote your website or a product you recommend or one that you've created yourself. Plus with people flocking to Amazon, which is a site where all of their traffic is nothing but buyers, you can kill two birds with one stone by publishing a kindle eBook with your URL on the first page for as little as 99 cent and give it away for free five days in a 90 day period.

People will forever use the internet as a means for searching the web for information. Most don't go to the library no more. Its all about convenience  And the best part about this is you can come to their rescue and provide that information that will fit their needs through email marketing.  In my opinion email marketing will never get old, at least not for a very long time. I still recommend you use this method if you are promoting a product or if you are just simply trying to get more traffic to your blog. In my opinion  I feel you should focus more on using email marketing to get traffic to your blog by providing helpful information and less on selling anything. Because once you build that trust, they will see what you have to offer on your blog and you'll eventually make money anyway.

So now I will give you a few simple tips:

1. Don't ask for your subscribers' name just ask for their email address. If you ask for too much information you just may push them away. Eventually you'll have their name because if you are providing really good info, they will make a purchase from you or through you. If you happen to not have your own product, ask them to email their receipt or proof of purchase for a free gift if they click on your affiliate link.

2. Make sure you have a call to action at the end of every email. Example "you can find more information on my blog" and provide a link for them to click.

3. Always include a signature.

4. Share part of your blog post in the email and tell them to click on the provided link to read the rest of the post.

5. Use a catchy headline in the subject area.

6. Spark up emotion in your emails and get people excited to click on your link to your blog or website and encourage them to share their thoughts by posing  a comment on your blog.

7. Hold a contest on your blog or donate to charity and have a campaign on your blog and tell people about it through email marketing.

8. Most of the time offer them a free eBook or something else free where you subscribers can benefit greatly.

9. Offer something controversial or something that has viral tendencies.

10. Share funny or controversial pictures or jokes related to your niche with your subscribers and encourage them to share them.

Use these tips to help you generate traffic through email marketing. As I said before the traffic is in the list too, so use email marketing to boost your traffic and worry about making money later; the money will come.

How To Be A Perfect Spammer!

We all know how to spam, right? And we know what spamming can do. But do you know how to be a perfect spammer? Will this post will show you how. One way to spam perfectly is by finding a popular blog and post a stupid comment with a link back to your blog on each post they've made in the comment section and bug the crap out of everyone. Lovely huh?

Want more tips. Check out what Corey Eridon said about spamming in a post on his blog titled "How to Be a Spammer In 20 Simple Steps"

Someone once told me that "how-to" content is really great for business blogging. Since I want to be a good inbound marketer, I thought I'd take a stab at writing a "how-to" blog post, and teach everyone how they can become a spammer.

I also heard that accessibility is important in your writing, so I narrowed it down to just 20 steps.

If you haven't made up your new year's resolution yet -- or you've already failed at three or four and need a new one to tackle -- any and all of these 20 steps would be excellent considerations. So, here you go, 20 steps to becoming the best spammer the world's ever seen! Enjoy. (And please regard all of this as totally straight-faced marketing advice.)

Social Media

1) Pin a bunch of stuff to Pinterest that has no visually redeeming qualities. Be sure to shorten the links in your pins' descriptions, too, if you really want to get marked as spam. Marketers who are particularly on the top of their game will make their links go to unrelated web pages; the cream of the crop will just make them broken links.

2) Cram your tweets with dumb hashtags, especially if they're unrelated to the tweet's subject matter. You might even consider crafting a tweet made entirely of hashtags!

3) Hijack someone else's hashtag. For example, when the next #twilight movie comes out, be sure to use that to promote your upcoming webinar, because of the natural tie-in between werewolves and your data appending service. (Twilight has werewolves, right?)

As you can see this is a funny blog post posted by Corey Eridon, so funny I had to share it. And you will certainly learn to be the biggest and best spammer day in and out after you are done reading.

Brainstorming For Fresh Content? Try These Ideas

Why You Should Welcome Failure

Failure should be a part of your life. If it is not, then you will never succeed. This is what I mean; when you are learning and in the process of trying to succeed, you are definitely going to fail at trying to be successful. This is actually a good thing. When you start learning how to walk, you fall first. Why, because you've never done that before. When you learned how to drive, you've made mistakes. Even if you didn't run over the mailbox, you still had to learn how to keep a straight path, which is difficult if you've never done it. Everything we do, we have to learn how to do it with the exception of a few things such as breathing. Breathing is something we automatically do.

When I first started making money online, I've failed. Why? Because I was still learning and I didn't know everything. I still don't know everything; never will. Plus there will always be things I will need to learn and get hip to if I want to continue to succeed in a forever changing world. So being afraid of failing cannot be apart of my thinking. I have to concentrate on gaining experience and failing if I want to be successful and so should you. You need to welcome failure into your life and let it be apart of your thinking so you can succeed  at everything you do.

If you are scared to fail at everything, just stay in the bed all day and do nothing. You can't avoid failure, it will always be apart of your life, even when you do succeed at one area or several areas. When you fail, that means there is more you can do to make yourself better and learn from your mistakes. You just can't accomplish anything with out failing. Now failing isn't easy. It can be painful and can cause people to not believe in your dreams and you end up having to believe in yourself when others will not. As a matter of fact, we shouldn't let other people's thoughts define who we are and what we can do.

There are many people who have dreams or have had dreams and never achieved them because of fear of failure. They get stuck punching a time clock at a 9-5 they never wanted because of fear of failing. More than 90% of people are in this category because they don't want to be a failure. But you know what, they've already failed because they gave up.

Affiliate marketing or any other business or career moves we want to make will involve some level of failing. You just can't give up. I don't mean think negatively either, but be ready to welcome failure so you can learn how to be the best at everything you do. When you learned how to skateboard or ride a bike, you failed many times, literally. But you learned and now you don't fall anymore. The same will happen in your professional life and in your personal life.

Many people have had failed relationships and took what they learned from the past failed ones and applied what they learned to their new relationships. After these failures, they moved on to get married and are happier than they were before. And I bet some of these people never thought they could have happiness.

In the closing of this post remember these key points: successful people faced failure and they aren't afraid to fail and take risk; failure causes growth and maturity; failure causes us to succeed and work harder and set our goals higher; failure show us areas where we can improve; failure helps us to avoid past mistakes. So happy failing! Tell me what you think.

Brainstorming For Fresh Content? Try These Ideas

We all experience writers block every now and then. When it comes to keeping up with a blog, writing articles, or even writing a book, we all need ideas. This is especially true when maintaining a blog. Creating fresh content is a job in it's self, but there are things you need to be doing constantly to create new content.

One of these things is read. Most days of the week, you should be reading other peoples blogs in your niche, keeping up with the trends and news related to your niche, and you need to do constant research in your field. When you are brainstorming for fresh content, these are the top things you need to be doing. The world is changing on a daily basis and your blog needs to keep up with it or you'll be left behind in the dust.

When doing your reading, be sure to take notes and keep a notebook for those notes only. Make sure you write down the website name and address where you found the information. Doing this will help you to create fresh content. How? Because you are finding new ideas for your blog and you can use these ideas for your blog. Just make sure if and when you decide to use information from someone else's blog, you give them the proper credit and a link from your blog back to theirs. This process is called content curation or blog curation, which is a topic I talked about in one of my previous blog post earlier this year. Using this method well help you create content quickly and easily and it will help you build authority in your niche. Plus you will also be known as the go to site for information and a hub. This is what you want and need if you ever want a profitable blog with fresh content.

Another thing you can do to create fresh content is use private label rights products (PLR). Using PLR products is a great idea only when done correctly. It has to be a very good product and you should never use the product without changing it. Private rights products should only really be used to help your create fresh content, not used as is because other people are using the product as is and you want to keep things professional, be unique, and set apart from sites with crappy or duplicate content. You can get good ideas from PLR products. You can take a private label rights book and look for a good article to use on your blog. However you must still do research and include up-to-date info on your blog. If you have a PLR video or audio, this can be converted into your own words and summarized for a post on your blog or as an article. If the PLR content is crappy, don't use it.

To get people to leave comments, you can use PLR products to put a short quiz in your content and get people to participate. Ask up to four questions in your blog post and give a multiple choice answer to each and provide the answer in the following paragraph and explain why. At the end of your post ask another question and have people to leave the answer in the comment session. Then do a follow up post explaining the answer to the question. Doing this will help you to always create fresh content for your blog and people will look forward to your next post. So you're building traffic and at the same time loyal readers, relationships, and participation, which will send Google and Bing a signal to send more traffic to your site.

You can create a blog post that give you the opportunity to have discussions with your readers. Start off by asking a question and go from there. You'll be amazed at what kind of fresh content you can create.

You can even hold a contest to see how many people come up with the right answers and give away small prizes to the top five or ten people who answer the questions correctly the fastest. Which would mean you would have to look at the timing of the comment the left.

Another thing you can do is pay close attention to questions your readers may ask. This could be the start of fresh content because you can use a blog post or an article to answer the questions. Simply choose the questions that are asked the most and answer it. Make sure you go into great detail and create your content.

You can also create content centered around creating a top 20 list and again explaining each list with a small paragraph. Do you have any ideas for creating fresh content?
